Weekend getaway -Travel blog from Bengaluru to Puducherry

So we went to Puducherry on 29 th september .

Not sure initially where to go as there lot of destination we had nearby Bengaluru and in this confusion almost 1 week wasted and finally all ways got closed as everything got booked in every other places and after lost f efforts we got one place to stay at Puducherry and that’s we end up to plan our trip to Puducherry.

Those who dont know Puducherry is must visit place near by bengalury took around 8 to 10 hr by train 6 to 7 by cab your own vehicle.

Our Journey-

Took train from yashvantpur Bengaluru railway station to Pondicherry .

Train took 10 hr to Puducherry though its 10 hr but trust me it’s relaxing as compare to cab or any other means like cab it will be little tiring as you would not get proper sleep also no washroom fascility so that way train is little less tiring

Can take a proper sleep then morning 7 am reached to Puducherry and if you are going from Bengaluru then you will surely miss that weather because its little humid even early morning when come out of your train and feel the morning weather of Puducherry.

We reached the railway station and mostly if you could book 2 wheeler from royal brother already that’s well and good but because we thought to book it from please nearby station so that we can also return it easily did not booked before.

Nearby railway station you will find lot of people asking to book 2 wheeler and you will easily get.

Per day charges for single vehicle is around 2000 ,petrol not included still its best option as you can anywhere .

Things to avoid-

So as we had out trip planned very last minute we did no found any stay nearby rock beach which some 2 km from Puducherry railway station and white town that’s why for wondering we came to White town and then for our stay we are going back and forth to Auroville where we had out stay.

So try to get you stay in whitetown as most of the spot is in whitetown.

1 day-

Very first day we took the vehicle and fir went to surguru spot where we had our breakfast its quite good place also you can have proper sithentic breakfast and this is in whitetown.

Nearby this spot only arulmigu manakula Vinayahar devasthanam temple as it was nearby Surguru spot .

After that we went to our stay which was in Auroville and almost 20 km from whitetown which was all because of last minute booking so better get you stay before and nearby whitetown.

For lunch we went to cafe called hope cafe, it was actually good and Puducherry is famous for its cafe so must try cafés here.

After that rock beach is the must visit place other beaches is also there but the area nearby rock beach is also happening and is indeed a night place.

For the people who never went to beaches like me (L0L) its a great experience as the moment you stand on sand on shore is so amazing , seeing the ocean right front of you and you are like tiny particles on that ocean and just seeing something with no boundaries and ends and then suddenly boats middle of the ocean and that feeling of fearlessness that what so great about anything compare to this natural things.

And the feeling when first wave hit you so hard and you keep standing like rock to resist the force of that wave and just lifting your Leg little up may leads to disbalance of your complete your body will make you realise that natural things is so beautiful and so dangerous at the same time if not treated good.

All in all seeing the beach for the very first time is indeed the Greta feeling and that beach is maintained so nicely , you can walk around that area , mostly at night it is so beautiful and little crowded lot of things going on and stalls , lighting is so beautiful.

Other places to go->

We went to Matrimandir which is in Auroville -so it’s a temple having tomb type structure but this temple has certain timings nd try to go within that mostly as far as we get to know before 1 pm try to get the ticket to enter the mandir then after it like indeed some long km of walk and that’s what i would like to mention here.

You need to walk a lot to reach the temple which was really tiring then after you reach you need to need to see the temple from distant so if you want to go there make sure you are not thinking to go somewhere else in first half.

In the entrance of temple once you walk a little some restaurants and cafeteria is there where you can eat something.

Other than that there a lot of other spots like pink church and lot of other church are there where you can have some time.

For lunch you can go to other restaurant too which was near by surguru spot and famous cafés in Auroville.

Also can go to French colony as Puducherry is based upon French architecture and cafe , structure of building there and walls s based on French architecture.
