Weight loss-what to do?

Hey you all, welcome back to my new blog if you are already dagdi(called friends in kumaoni) .

I call my regular audience as dagdi and if you are new then hope you will also be the one of us.

so this is going to be about my weight loss journey and how’s the experience, is it difficult .

But before that let’s talk about purpose-

Why-

Before going into this process ask yourself why you want to go into this process,there can be several reason why you want to loose your weight for some people it might be certain health issues, for some it can be to look perfect for some it can be to society and family pressure and for some it can be to fit into every cloth.

Whatever be the reason you will loose your weight anyway but the only think that varies is your mental health during this process.

if it’s society pressure or family you will be drained during the process because it’s not one day things, it takes months and years to see the change sometimes , some people able to have a great control because of the purpose they have to loose their weight and for some it took long to see the change because of no self motivation . Also the most important part is don’t ever think to search how to loose weight in 10 days or 20 and that too 5 kg and other stuffs as these definitely can be achieved by skipping your meal but is it good or you just want a short term changes and again back to previous self.

Go for something which you can do on longer basis without thinking about time, something which you can follow for long.

whether it is your exercise that you follow , diet which you are having, you can’t just get into some fruit diet which will end up to various health issues.

My Journey-

So whoever go into this they must experience this that years back they have started this but for sometime followed, was not consistent and then again started from intitial, for most of the people it’s like that and same for me.

From 2015 to 2022 I have started my weight loss multiple times but then was not consistent at all.
I have started doing exercise on my own which most of the people do but doing by your own needs a passion and motivation and most importantly diet , your diet plays a major role in weight loss, even if you do extreme workout then also you may not see any changes if your diet is not in place and trust me it may become a reason of big demotivation when you are putting physical efforts and still not seeing the changes . If you won’t see result when doing workout because your diet is complete mess then may be you even stop doing workout .

Now before going into how I did, firstly want to share how important is patience here.

so main weight loss journey started for me in the year of 2022 November before that I used to do by my own and 2022 august, I have joined gym and did it for few months was very consistent but the problem is diet I did not had any control on my diet that’s why even doing workout did not made any difference.
But was able to see some kgs of difference, this also did not last long being in country like India with so much of diversity you get to celebrate a lot of festival and living in your home 🏡 definitely you can’t control so Diwali came and of course sweets taken a place of food but still I don’t have much craving for sweet which helped me a lot.

I tried various thing starting from gym which did not suited me though I was regular but sometimes your health won’t allow you to do certain things you need to see what suits you seeing your medical history , if everybody doing gym for workout and doing intense exercise does not means will suits you as well sometimes because everyone’s lifestyle varies, work varies, make a huge differnce on how intense workout you can do.

I was looking for something which i can balance out with my lifestyle mostly the working ladies and if married it’s difficult to do intense workout considering the extra work they do apart from work , managing their household , it will be difficult for them to do daily workout , it takes out way too much that the person easily can drained and over that if you are thinking of too also include intense workout in your routine will be too tiring .

I don’t know about others but as far as i am concerned and my health I believe yoga helped me a lot atleast to start with , if you are not involved in any physical activity from long then this can be gate opener and it’s something which anyone can pursue on longer which is the most important part because I had some health issue which restrict me doing certain exercises also not involved in physical exercise for long it’s very important to first start from little and try to open up and be flexible where yoga plays a very important role.

But even if you consider yoga , gym or anything else if your ultimate goal is to loose weight , you might not see the result until and unless your diet is not proper , trust me diet is most crucial part whatever you do , from loosing weight to also maintaining your proper health and getting proper nutrition, and prevent deficiency of required nutrients in your body.

All in all what I realize is having proper diet is very important in any weight loss or weight gain as having balance of required nutrient in body is very important , never go into non validated diet plan , always consult dietician for diet plan .
